thanksgiving?

Although Obi-Wan has noticed the increase of red and orange decorations in shop windows in recent weeks, he hasn't given it much thought. The bird -- a turkey, he's been told -- is another one he doesn't really understand, but as with all the worlds he's been to, Darrow has its own customs and so he finds nothing all that unusual about it. Mostly he's just let it all pass him by without much thought.

There are other things on his mind lately. He's still trying to work out what he might do for work in this place, knowing his skills aren't quite what most people look for when handing out a job at a restaurant or a book store. He doubts very much he would want either of those jobs anyway. There is Anakin and Padmé to consider as well and although he's taken a rather large step back in that regard, wanting them to enjoy their life together, he still thinks about them with regularity.

They deserve to be happy. He wants that for them.

And there's Klaus, of course. He occupies a great deal of Obi-Wan's thoughts lately in an entirely pleasant manner. In fact, he finds he can't remember the last time he felt this generally content and relaxed. There are still worries that arise, things he must meditate on before they retreat once more and while he has still come to no final solution on these things, he finds he can at least set them aside with more ease.

Today, he's just finished meditating, and is in his kitchen, filling the kettle so he can make himself a pot of tea. He has no plans for the evenings, will likely stay home and read, but he thinks of Klaus for a moment and finds himself grinning down at the water as it fill the kettle.
