What Klaus says is absolutely true and Obi-Wan finds he often wonders about that. If the idea that relationships were forbidden is what drove Anakin toward Padmé, but he thinks, at least in this case, the explanation is too simplistic. It ignores the genuine love they have for one another and implies they're together only because it wasn't meant to be.

That hadn't been the case with his love for Satine either.

But the idea that it was forbidden did mean Anakin kept it from Obi-Wan, which is part of what led him down the path he could no longer control.

When Klaus covers them in a blanket and presses closer, Obi-Wan shifts his focus, wanting to be here in this moment. He smiles and wraps his arms properly around Klaus again, then says, "We can go inside. I can help you get the mattress back down into your bedroom."
