Klaus has to wonder if there's some sort of threshold to just how much he can love someone, because with Obi-Wan, it just keeps climbing and climbing. He falls more each day, with each sweet thing that falls so easily from his mouth. His heart just keeps on growing and growing, and he knows that he loves Obi-Wan more than he loves himself, more than he's ever loved another person.
It feels like a slight discredit to Dave, but Klaus knows it isn't. What he had with Dave was special and real, and a part of his heart will always belong to Dave. Just like he knows the same is true for Obi-Wan and Satine.
But what they have, what they've built together, is incredible. Please, he thinks, let it never end.
"I am, most of the time," Klaus says softly, because to say that he spends every moment happy would be a lie. But overall, especially here in this room, in the arms of this man, he really is. "Thanks in no small part to you."
