Today is Klaus's birthday.
Technically, it's the birthday for all the Hargreeves siblings, and while Obi-Wan thinks they might usually want to have a party, he suspects Ben's recent disappearance is likely still weighing too heavily on all of them for such a thing. Still, he wants to acknowledge the day, so he sends flowers to the others, a big bouquet for them to display in their home, accompanied by a nice box of chocolates the woman at the flower shop had kindly suggested.
Klaus, though, he has something else for. Knowing how he's been feeling lately about being in the house without Ben, Obi-Wan takes care to invite Klaus over this evening, making it a special invitation. The apartment is, of course, always open to him and they both know it, but he makes a greater effort this evening so that Klaus knows the day is still special.
He has arranged for a pleasant dinner to be brought to them, has purchased a nice bottle of wine, and has a small package for Klaus, a box sitting wrapped and tied with a bow on the living room table. Inside is a dog tag, just like the ones he already wears for Dave, and Obi-Wan deeply hopes it isn't too presumptuous a gift. Upon the tag, he'd had a date engraved. 01-02-2021. The first time he had ever told Klaus he loves him.
Satisfied with the entire set up, Obi-Wan takes one final look at himself in the mirror and fixes his hair as he waits for Klaus to arrive.

He’s so focused on Obi-Wan that his own orgasm comes as a bit of a surprise, and he cries out softly as he spills into Obi-Wan’s body, fucking erratically through the mess of it for as long as he can before collapsing onto Obi-Wan’s body, panting against the curve of his throat.
“I love you,” he murmurs breathlessly against Obi-Wan’s skin, just because he means it, and he can.

He wants to stay here, wrapped up in Klaus, so he tilts his head and kisses Klaus's temple.
"How are you feeling?" he asks with a small, pleased smile. Certainly the sex wasn't meant only as a distraction, but Obi-Wan hopes it served that purpose, too, a little.

"I feel great. How could I not feel great?" Klaus drawls out, stretching his arms out to the side before pressing his elbows into the bed on either side of Obi-Wan's shoulders, propping himself up over the man and smiling down at his face, soft and fond.
"I feel good," he says a bit more seriously, leaning in to give him another soft kiss, nudging the tip of his nose up under Obi-Wan's. He hesitates for a moment, lips resting against Obi-Wan's, before continuing quietly. "This is still the happiest that I've ever been."

He knows all this and it still does him good to hear the words from Klaus's mouth.
"Good," he murmurs, running his hand down Klaus's damp back, smoothing over his skin. "I want you to be happy."
Happiness isn't something that can be forced, he can't make someone be happy just by his will alone, but he's glad he can have some small part in it regardless. He can bring something to the happiness Klaus feels.

It feels like a slight discredit to Dave, but Klaus knows it isn't. What he had with Dave was special and real, and a part of his heart will always belong to Dave. Just like he knows the same is true for Obi-Wan and Satine.
But what they have, what they've built together, is incredible. Please, he thinks, let it never end.
"I am, most of the time," Klaus says softly, because to say that he spends every moment happy would be a lie. But overall, especially here in this room, in the arms of this man, he really is. "Thanks in no small part to you."
