Obi-Wan is entirely uncertain about the clothing lent to him by his neighbour across the hall, feeling utterly unlike himself in more ways than one, but it isn't as if he has many choices. His own clothing are all far too big, even when he tightens his belt to the very tightest hole, and while Klaus's pants fit better around the waist, they're much too long, the hems dragging even when he rolls them up several times.
As Klaus has happily pointed out several times, Obi-Wan is now, officially, tiny.
Renee is a good neighbour and she had welcomed Obi-Wan in, giving him a t-shirt with a band on it he doesn't recognize, as well as a pair of jeans with holes in the knees, but her shoes had all been much too large. He has his feet shoved into a pair of his own boots with socks rolled up and pushed into the toes so his feet don't immediately slip out. Even so, it's difficult to walk, and he shuffles along, one of his own sweatshirts zipped up over the t-shirt -- because Renee also hadn't been able to provide him with a bra -- and folded back over his hands.
He had sent Harley a text message to let her know he's in rather dire straits, although now, settled into the car he had summoned using the app on his phone, he supposes that's a bit dramatic. Still, he hopes she's received the message as the car carries him toward her apartment building.
Borrowing shoes that fit from Harley seems to be a bit of a risk, but his other option is Padmé and he doesn't think he's prepared to even imagine himself in Padmé's wardrobe.

"Hello there," he says, pressing his lips together slightly to stifle the smile, even though he supposes it's pointless. Harley charms him on a regular basis and he can't imagine that's a surprise to her any longer.
"I'm at your mercy," he says, spreading his arms wide, his hands nearly disappearing inside the sleeves of the sweatshirt, even with the ends rolled up. He's here not because he thinks her style is necessarily one he would share, but because he trusts her. If nothing else, he knows they'll have fun.

"Okay," I continued, leading him into the apartment and back towards the bedroom. "I've been sorting through my closet, and we've got a few options. It looks like we're about the same size, which is just adorable."
I gasped.
"We could coordinate!"

His world has changed. He and Anakin are still in an extremely rocky place, the future of their relationship uncertain, and Obi-Wan had woken up like this the day before. All the foundations he's had for so long are gone, but he's a resilient man and now, perhaps more than ever, he needs someone like Harley. Someone who both cares and will be an asset in reminding him of the world outside his own experience.
"I trust you," he says, smiling as he follows Harley into her bedroom. "I'm in dire need of shoes that fit, but this may never happen again. I might as well enjoy myself."

"So, how's it going? Apart from the expanded wardrobe options."
He seemed to be taking it all pretty okay, but where my emotions tended to leak out all over the place, Obi-wan was a helluva lot more in control.

"Well, Klaus certainly adjusted quickly after a friend of his assured him it was only temporary," he says, although that hadn't been Harley's question.
"I think it I didn't know it was temporary, it might be more troubling," he admits. "But so much of who I feel I am is connected to the Force and that hasn't changed at all. I still feel like me, just... different. And, to be quite honest, this is preferable to the time I had to use facial reconstruction nanotechnology to go undercover as a bounty hunter. He had a very unfortunate face."

And he let me play nurse, but why go into the gory details?
"Adjusted, huh? I'm gonna guess that means he fucked your brains out."

"It seems as if it would have been a waste to not at least... explore," he says, then laughs, mostly at himself. "But I do still feel mostly like myself. It was a strange experience waking up like this. Realizing something so significant had changed overnight."

Draping a fringed scarf around his neck, I say, "So, just how adventurous are you wanting to get with these clothes, missy? 'Cause we could kept it understated, which means we'll have to go shopping, or you could try on that neon unitard."

"If I've got to deal with brand new equipment, I might as well enjoy it," he says back to her, then grins, flipping up the end of the scarf. "Let's experiment a bit. Why not? It's only going to last for a week and no one will recognize me except for you and Klaus."
