Obi-Wan is entirely uncertain about the clothing lent to him by his neighbour across the hall, feeling utterly unlike himself in more ways than one, but it isn't as if he has many choices. His own clothing are all far too big, even when he tightens his belt to the very tightest hole, and while Klaus's pants fit better around the waist, they're much too long, the hems dragging even when he rolls them up several times.

As Klaus has happily pointed out several times, Obi-Wan is now, officially, tiny.

Renee is a good neighbour and she had welcomed Obi-Wan in, giving him a t-shirt with a band on it he doesn't recognize, as well as a pair of jeans with holes in the knees, but her shoes had all been much too large. He has his feet shoved into a pair of his own boots with socks rolled up and pushed into the toes so his feet don't immediately slip out. Even so, it's difficult to walk, and he shuffles along, one of his own sweatshirts zipped up over the t-shirt -- because Renee also hadn't been able to provide him with a bra -- and folded back over his hands.

He had sent Harley a text message to let her know he's in rather dire straits, although now, settled into the car he had summoned using the app on his phone, he supposes that's a bit dramatic. Still, he hopes she's received the message as the car carries him toward her apartment building.

Borrowing shoes that fit from Harley seems to be a bit of a risk, but his other option is Padmé and he doesn't think he's prepared to even imagine himself in Padmé's wardrobe.

While a part of Obi-Wan appreciates there is no longer any war in which he's expected to fight, no expectation of being a general, no fighting against battle droids day in and day out while trying to wrangle both Anakin and Ahsoka, all while beating back Ventress, Maul, or whichever enemy had decided they wanted Obi-Wan's head on that particular day, he still isn't quite used to relaxation.

It feels indulgent. The Jedi have never exactly been known for their indulgence, which Obi-Wan knows Rael Averross would have said was one of their primary failures, and while he hadn't always agreed with Rael, he had respected the man. No matter where he finds himself, he doesn't imagine he'll ever turn into the Jedi Rael was during his days on Pijal -- using recreational drugs, going to bed with whoever was within a five foot radius -- but he thinks he can take at least some inspiration from him.

And that is why, this evening, Obi-Wan is sitting on his sofa, a steaming cup of tea waiting for him on the coffee table, a book of poetry in one hand, and Klaus's feet propped up in his lap. He has one hand curled over one foot, the pads of his fingers working onto the arch of Klaus's foot, massaging without really thinking about it. His focus is on the poetry instead, fascinated by the cadence of the words. So unlike poetry he had read on Coruscant, instead much wittier, much more real, and absolutely engrossing.

Music plays softly, something Klaus had picked, and Obi-Wan knows this is not the sort of night Rael would have considered at all entertaining, but he's quite content in this moment.

As is often the case when it comes to Klaus Hargreeves, as Obi-Wan has learned, they don't need to make specific plans in order to have a good time. Tonight is only different in that they had actually intended to meet one another, had spoken of it a few days earlier, decided to have dinner, and are now walking along the sidewalk, Klaus's hand tucked into Obi-Wan's elbow. He expects they'll end up at his apartment eventually, but for the time being, he's utterly content just to walk around with Klaus and explore the city.

People often seem to think he's lying when he says Darrow has a fascinating and diverse world to learn. A man who has travelled across the galaxy, who grew up on a planet with over five thousand levels shouldn't be so interested in a place with such limits, but he genuinely is. Darrow is unlike any of the worlds he's been to. Some places have things in common with certain levels on Coruscant, but nothing is exactly the same.

For that reason alone, he knows he could spend a great deal of time getting to know this city.

"Where to next?" he asks as he and Klaus stroll along. He's in no rush, but he expects Klaus will have some sort of idea where they ought to go.
