Though Obi-Wan knows better than the refer to what they're doing as hiking out loud, this morning, he and Klaus had left Darrow with comfortable shoes and bags to hold some food and water, and they'd walked out into the woods with the intention of finding a new place to meditate. It had been Obi-Wan's idea, wanting to expose Klaus to different places with different distractions so he could continue to evolve his practice and learn how to focus when other sounds or feelings were doing their best to pull him away.
It makes him smile to himself, the fact that he's convinced Klaus to go on a hike, of all things, to find a new place to meditate, of all things.
But as they walk through the woods, Obi-Wan's smile fades into something more serene. The trees grow closer together out here, the sounds of the city are very far away, and he almost feels as if he's back on Naboo, surrounded by the lush greenery of the planet. The leaves drip occasionally, water having collected on them, and every so often he can hear the sound of an animal moving somewhere off in the bush, possibly a deer at one point, then something smaller, maybe a rabbit or a badger.
"It's lovely out here, isn't it?" he asks as they crest a small rise. The sun has been up for hours, because while they started out in the morning, Obi-Wan had known better than to try and get Klaus out of the apartment too early. It's warm, the air is fresh, and he turns back to look over his shoulder, smiling as Klaus joins him.

"It's beautiful," Klaus agrees, reaching out to put a hand on Obi-Wan's shoulder as they make it to the top of a small hill. He looks out at the view and then over at Obi-Wan, quirking one brow as he gives his shoulder a friendly jostle. "Even though I'm starting to feel like you tricked me into getting some exercise."
He doesn't mind, really. He's not adverse to physical activity, even though he usually prefers to just go on runs. This is better though, given the views and the company. "I don't think you have any destination in mind at all."
no subject
All he knows for certain is that they're alone out here. There are animals in the woods, birds in the trees, he can sense both, but in terms of other people, it's only the two of them for quite some distance. If they're looking to meditate, they'll have their pick of places.
"This way," he says, heading back down the hill on the other side. The air smells a little as if there's water nearby, though he doesn't think there's a river or a creek, and now he's curious.
no subject
Obi-Wan suddenly takes off and Klaus follows after him curiously, keeping to a barely worn path in the grass towards a cluster of trees. The air starts to feel a bit damp and the birds are a little louder, so there's obviously something up ahead. They come around a slope and Klaus's eyebrows lift when he spots water through a break in the trees.
"Oh, wow." They move through the tree line to find a wide pond full of clear, clean looking water. It's incredibly picturesque, and Klaus's gaze shifts over a tree that hangs out over the water, complete with a tire swing. "Well, I think we found the spot."
no subject
It's truly beautiful. The pond is clear and still, the air smells sweet, the tree hanging over the water provides shade both and out of the pool. He wonders if this land belongs to anyone. While Obi-Wan still doesn't have gainful employment and such would not have the funds in order to purchase land or build a house, he can imagine living somewhere out here and thinks of how much he would truly enjoy it.
With a smile over at Klaus, he walks through the trees and toward the pond, stooping to look into the water. "It's incredible no one else is here," he says. "A lovely place like this should be overrun with people wanting to swim and relax, making it impossible to do either."
no subject
"Do you want to go for a swim?" The water looks cool and clear, enticing after the long walk, and Klaus looks over at Obi-Wan with a smile. "Then after we could lay out, maybe meditate a little?"
He's getting better at it all the time, he thinks, and it's gotten to where he's eager to try because he knows that he's safe with Obi-Wan. And more importantly, he thinks that he's starting to be safe with himself.

Then he grins over at Klaus and ducks down to begin removing his shoes. The pool is so clear and it looks so inviting, he can't even begin to truly resist. No matter what playful teasing he tosses in Klaus's direction, he's already prepared to get in and enjoy himself.
And if someone does come walking through the trees, they can plead ignorance, or Obi-Wan can use the Force to send them on their way.
no subject
The water is clear enough that Klaus can see how deep it is, so he lets out a happy shout and then dives in, spearing towards the bottom. It's cold enough to be a bit of a shock, and he lets out a bright laugh as he resurfaces and tosses his hair back, treading water as he looks over at Obi-Wan.
"Get in here," he calls out, grinning over at him and taking a moment to stare at the way the sun hits his bare shoulders. "The water's fine."
no subject
That spirit, that willingness to try new things, it's such a gift and Obi-Wan is always glad to see the world hasn't killed it in him.
He finishes undressing and sets his clothing aside, taking care to give them enough distance so they won't get wet. Then he goes to the same place Klaus had jumped into the water and does the same, a smooth, graceful dive that sends him deep into the pool and then he breaks a surface with a gasp. The cold is a wonderful shock to the system and he laughs as he wipes water from his eyes.
"It's colder than I thought it would be," he says, though it's not a complaint.
no subject
The cool water laps around Klaus's shoulders as the sun warms his face and he takes in the excellent view before him, and he wonders if he has ever felt so at peace in his entire life. No, he doesn't think that he has. This is something entirely new.
Obi-Wan dives into the water and Klaus can't help but to smirk at the graceful way he cuts into it, barely making a splash at all before he resurfaces, hair and beard slick with water as he turns to find Klaus waiting for him.
"Yeah, but it's nice after the walk," Klaus tells him, propelling himself forward a bit until they're nearly touching under the water. "God, I do love to look at you."
no subject
His smile makes it clear just how much he's only teasing, because he can't imagine anyone not feeling wonderfully warm under Klaus's gaze. While there are plenty of times when Klaus is leering at him, causing Obi-Wan's skin to flush with pleasure and desire, he doesn't do so unless it's clearly welcome. He is respectful and good and so terribly kind.
Obi-Wan leans in for a slow kiss, the water still trickling through his beard, and then he pushes away, gently propelling himself through the water on his back.
no subject
Obi-Wan leans in for a kiss and Klaus returns it happily, lifting one hand from the water to cup his cheek. When he pulls away, Klaus leans forward to follow, shifting his body in the water to swim after him. He takes a breath and turns onto his back, floating alongside Obi-Wan and reaching out to take his hand.
"Did you know otters hold hands when they float so they don't get separated?" Klaus ask, taking in another slow, easy breath as he squeezes Obi-Wan's hand. "We're like otters."
no subject
"Otters are the ones with the waterproof fur, aren't they?" he asks. "I've only seen them in books, though I imagine there must be some living wild in Darrow somewhere. There are sea otters and river otters, I believe."
Most of the animals in Darrow are foreign to Obi-Wan, though he's learned about them as well as he can, reading books and articles online. He's been meaning to go to the zoo eventually, although he doesn't know that he'll like seeing the animals in captivity.
no subject
He's the kind of person that would make Klaus want to wander the coast and search for otters, just so he could show them to Obi-Wan.
"There must be sea otters, surely," Klaus tells him, opening one eye as he turns his head to look at Obi-Wan. "There's a big ass sea just over there. We'll find some."
no subject
Still, there is plenty to learn here. Plenty to explore.
"Thus far my connection to animals doesn't seem at all inhibited in Darrow," he continues. "The animals themselves are different from the ones I know and I do miss seeing varactyls more than I imagined I might, but in general, the animals here still have that same connection to me through the Force. I'm glad for it. I think I'd feel quite lost without that."
no subject
"I'm glad. Maybe we can go to the zoo, and you can talk to all sorts of animals," Klaus tells him. "Zoos are iffy, you know, but hopefully the one here is good. As good as captivity can be, anyway. But it's not like tigers could really roam free here. Mostly because humans suck."
He sighs and looks over at Obi-Wan. "Zoos are complicated, but we'll find some sea otters. I'm sure of it."
Allison would probably do it. She'd laugh at him, sure, but she'd do it.

It's disappointing that worlds have reached such a place, where the native animals can't live freely and without intervention, but it isn't as if the same hasn't happened on countless planets in the galaxy where Obi-Wan has come from.
Overhead, a bird calls, then takes flight, spreading an impressive wingspan and soaring through the air. Obi-Wan watches and smiles faintly, then looks over at Klaus. "So I expect we'll be coming back here, won't we?" he asks.
no subject
They both come up with a splutter and Klaus tosses his hair back, laughing as he pushes himself backwards towards the edge of the pond. It really is such a beautiful place, a peaceful little oasis in the middle of a city so strange. He's grateful that they've found it.
"I suppose you'll want to meditate," Klaus says in a very put upon voice, managing not to smirk as he does. "I'll need to be kissed very much first. To get me in the mood."
no subject
"Or did you bring me out here with a more nefarious purpose? Perhaps you're trying to seduce me," he accuses. "How fiendish of you, Klaus Hargreeves, I'd had no idea you were capable of such things."
He leans closer and presses a chaste kiss to Klaus's mouth, pulling back before Klaus to deepen it. "I suppose I'll have to let myself be seduced, won't I?"
no subject
When Obi-Wan pulls back from the kiss, Klaus smiles with his eyes closed, letting them slowly flutter open as he puts on his flirtiest look. His arms lift from the water to curl around Obi-Wan's shoulders, drawing him in closer as Klaus bites his lip and gives him a coy, pouty sort of look, eyes big and wide, bright green in the afternoon light.
"I do think it would be in your very best interest to do so," Klaus purrs out, drawing his fingertip down the side of Obi-Wan's neck and over one freckled collarbone. "Who knows, you might even enjoy it."
no subject
So to hear words like that, so similar, coming from a man he's come to love so much, they send a jolt of pleasure through him, straight to his cock and he inhales sharply, then shivers when Klaus's finger drags along his collarbone.
"Do you think so?" he asks as he lets himself be drawn in. "Then perhaps it's you who ought to have me pinned against the edge of this pool. At the moment, I do seem to have the upper hand, don't I?"
no subject
"Maybe I let you have the upper hand," Klaus purrs out in that same voice, bringing their hips together as his hands slide around to squeeze at Obi-Wan's ass. He sticks his tongue out and uses the tip of it to lick a drop of water from the end of Obi-Wan's nose, and then continues speaking in a quiet, seductive tone, mouths barely an inch apart. "Maybe I like knowing that you could wrap that hand around my neck."
He licks another drop of water from Obi-Wan's lower lip, and then gives it a soft bite. "If you wanted."
no subject
It's a terribly inappropriate use of the Force, but it's hardly the first time Obi-Wan has done so and he knows for a fact he's not the first Jedi to toy with such things. They've all done it, at least once or twice.
The Force presses down on Klaus's collarbones, as if a hand is there, thumb and fingers framing either side of his throat. The pressure still isn't enough to even really hurt, but it's evident and the corner of Obi-Wan's mouth turns up slightly.
"Is this what you're looking for?" he asks, pressing closer with his entire body. He loves the feel of Klaus's leg wrapped around him, holding him tight.
no subject
That just makes it so much more special when it does happen, and Klaus's breath hitches when he feels that invisible touch against his throat. It's slow and gentle, unmistakably Obi-Wan, and he swallows hard as his fingertips press into Obi-Wan's skin. The touch makes his cock twitch where it's trapped in the cut of Obi-Wan's hip, and his mouth falls open on an exhale at the question.
"You're going easy on me," Klaus breathes out, lifting his chin as he shifts forward a little to press experimentally against the grip. "But yes, something in this neighborhood."
no subject
More than anything, he does like the opportunity to tease Klaus. If all they wanted was something quick and fun, they would both be happy with it and Obi-Wan knows it, but teasing Klaus gives them both an entirely different sensation, one he knows they both enjoy thoroughly. The physical aspects of their relationship are never boring, regardless of what they do, how they touch one another, and Obi-Wan considers it a great gift, experiencing all this with someone as wonderful as Klaus.
He tightens the grip he has at the base of Klaus's throat, pushing against him more than truly squeezing, not lifting the location where he's focused the Force just yet. He doesn't quite have Klaus's throat wrapped in his grip, still a tease more than anything.
"I didn't think you would want me to rush," he says in a low voice and then the grip tightens suddenly, not hard enough to really hurt, but enough to restrict Klaus's air flow just a little.
no subject
He didn't expect this when they walked out here this morning, but that's the thing about him and Obi-Wan-- it's never boring. It should be absurd that after all this time, Obi-Wan can still make the breath catch in Klaus's throat with just a look, or that a touch of his could make him tremble like he's never been touched by anyone. It should be impossible but it isn't, because they work so well together. Every encounter feels familiar and brand new all at once, and it's exactly what Klaus never knew he needed so much.
"We do have all day," he says, but the last word is a little strangled by the way the grip around his throat tightens. Klaus gasps, eyes rolling back a little as his hips twitch against Obi-Wan's, pleasure jolting through him. He knows that he isn't in any danger here with Obi-Wan, out here in the middle of nowhere, half-submerged in water with an invisible hand around his throat. It flirts with danger while being entirely safe, and maybe that's why he lets out a moan that's can only be described as slutty.
He would let Obi-Wan do anything to him, absolutely anything, because he knows that he'll always be safe.
